Why Diesel Training?

Western Pennsylvania has experienced a large demand for Diesel Technicians due to the regional growth of the Oil and Gas industry. According to the US Department of Labor (Bureau of Labor Statistics)*, combined oil and gas extraction and support services jobs increased by 3,300 to 384,300 in November 2016, its first increase since September 2014 when employment in the sector peaked at 536,100. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Diesel Service Technicians will earn an average of $21.72/hour or $45,170 annually.

Why Rosedale for Diesel Training?

We provide students with hands-on training from ASE Certified Instructors in the truck and heavy equipment field. Students learn every aspect of the trucks, from hydraulics and transmissions, to refrigeration systems and engine diagnostics. Our students are trained for a PA state inspection license, receive preparation for ASE Certifications. A Diploma is awarded upon graduation.

What Equipment Do I Get To Work With?

The newly renovated Ben Wilke Training Center contains a 36,000 square foot shop dedicated to diesel training. The shop contains equipment you would find in a commercial garage or commercial freight company.

  • Cummins Run-In Engine Stand for Engine Diagnostics
  • Various Heavy Truck Scan Tools
  • Students even participate in the production of Bio-Diesel Fuel as a part of training!
