Entrepreneur Profile: Natel Blessitt and Vance Walker

Natel Blessitt

When he enrolled at Rosedale Tech, Natel knew that he wanted to be in business for himself.  This drive for entrepreneurship was instilled in him by his father, who owns a landscaping company.  Upon completing the 10-week course in 2020, he set off to achieve his dream and purchased his first truck.  Now, at age 22, Natel is an owner-operator for his trucking business, Never Ending Trucking, LLC.  Natel focuses on hauling goods from state to state.  One unique thing that Natel shared when talking about the types of hauls he does is that he obtains a lot of business through Uber Freight.

What’s one of the best things about being in business for yourself?   The freedom

What’s one of the hardest things you’ve encountered with starting your own business?  Paying for all of the expenses

What are your future business goals? Having a a fleet of trucks and investing into different businesses such as real estate.

Why should someone pursue a trade? The experience and how much you can learn in a short amount of time, the teachers are the best!

 

Vance WalkerAnother one of our CDL truck driving graduates from 2020 who went on to start his own company is Vance Walker.  Vance is the owner-operator for VDUBB TRUCKING, LLC, which offers general hauling of goods for companies like Amazon.  Prior to coming to Rosedale Tech, Vance was the owner of a convenience store and was also flipping and renting out single family homes. He chose to pursue his CDL because see saw the opportunity in the trucking industry.  Vance has been in business for one year and already has four employees and a fleet of three trucks with plans to continue add trucks and employees to his fleet.

What’s one of the best things about being in business for yourself?  I control if I make it or not (betting on myself).

What’s one of the hardest things you’ve encountered with starting your own business?  Startup capital

What are your future business goals? To buy 1 truck every 8-10 months until I have 10 trucks.

Why should someone pursue a trade?  The instructors enjoyed teaching & went above & beyond to make sure I got my CDL.
