Mazda certification training at Rosedale Tech

Partnership training programs can take your career to the next level.  One of our newest programs is a certification program through Mazda North America.

The Mazda Automotive Student Training (MAST) program was designed and created with the intent to educate, train, and prepare automotive graduates with the skills necessary to excel as a technician at a Mazda dealership.

It is Mazda’s goal for graduates of the MAST program to find successful, long-term careers and stability in the Mazda dealer network and beyond.

How does it work?

Upon being accepted into the MAST program, students will be required to participate in a series of online certification classes.  During the last 2 months of schooling at Rosedale Tech, a student in the Mazda certification program will have the opportunity to begin working part-time at one of the participating Mazda dealerships in the area. While working in the field, the student will be paired with a senior mentor within the dealership for one-on-one training. Upon completion of the certification program and graduation from Rosedale Tech, students can enter the workforce as a Certified Senior Technician and transition into a full-time position within the participating Mazda dealership, if mutually agreed upon between the dealership and the technician.

Why should I participate in the Mazda program?

In addition to earning the title of Senior Technician Certified, the MAST program comes with a number of benefits, including:

  • Up to $4,000* in grant funding paid out throughout the Rosedale Tech program, pending MAST requirements are met and maintained.
  • Up to $2,000 in tool credit, pending all MAST requirements are met.
  • $15,000 tuition loan reimbursement (monthly payments paid out over 5 years).
  • Student will receive minimum living wage for at least 6 months before moving to flat rate pay.
  • Student will receive Senior Technician Certification $1,000 bonus.
  • Student will be eligible to purchase or lease a Mazda vehicle through the RPM DRIVE Program.
  • Student will receive discount on tools.
  • Student will receive 1:1 mentorship from Senior/Master Technician.

*The amount of the grant funding cannot exceed the value of the tuition after all financial aid grants or gifts are applied.

All student benefits contingent upon meeting MAST requirements, successfully graduating from Rosedale Tech’s automotive AST or diploma program and securing full-time employment at a participating Mazda dealership.

  • Submit the application at the bottom of the page
  • Maintain 95% attendance and a 3.0 GPA throughout the entire Rosedale Tech program
  • Uphold an insurable, good driving record
  • Additional requirements requested by participating Mazda dealerships
