Are you at your boiling point in life and ready to begin a career that can transform your future?

When you look at the world we live in, you might not realize how essential welding professionals are in impacting many aspects of our daily lives. A large percentage of manufactured products are made with the help of welders and are vital to many industries, like automotive, construction, and more.  Bridges, gates, small kitchen devices, skyscrapers, and pipelines are just some of the things that require the skills of a welder.

Committing to a career as a welder can offer many opportunities for those who pursue it, like a good-paying salary and job security; however, it is not a career path for everyone, and there are many factors to consider before taking on this trade. Welding can be a physically enduring and challenging task that requires individuals to work hard in sometimes extreme elements. If setting yourself up for a successful future and helping the overall success of our society continue to move forward sounds appealing, then this could be the field for you! Remember, not all heroes wear capes… some wear welding helmets.

In addition to those seeking a challenge in an essential career, creative people tend to be drawn to the welding program for its precision and artistry.

Our welding technician program provides in-person training opportunities that prepare students with the necessary experience needed to transition into a career path across a variety of industries.

If you’re ready to put in the work, we’re ready to help. Contact us today to get your welding career started.

What are the DIFFERENT TYPES OF WELDING?

Welding is the process of fusing two or more parts using a combination of heat and pressure. It is most often used on metals and thermoplastics. However, some techniques also allow you to weld wood.

There are four primary types of welding:

MIG – Gas Metal Arc Welding

Is the most common type of welding and is often used in the automotive and construction industries.

TIG – Gas Tungsten Arc Welding

Uses a tungsten electrode, which is a stronger bone. This process is often used in aerospace, auto, and heavy equipment welding.

Stick – Shielded Metal Arc Welding

Is a portable welding technique used in construction, maintenance, and industrial settings.

Flux-Cored Arc Welding

Is a technique that welders use for thicker metals like in manufacturing settings. It is also a method used outdoors as it offers additional weather protection.

JOB OUTLOOK FOR WELDERS?

Honestly I could not say anything bad about Rosedale Tech. From the staff, to the classes, to the food served at lunch there isn’t another place like it and I am glad to have spent my time here. Dave helped me feel at home when going through admissions and from then on I knew I made the right choice. The relationships built along the way makes the days feel like hours and hours like minutes and you’re left wondering where time went. Before you know it you’re walking the stage with a new job and a career set before you.
